 After a string of five wins, La Costa Canyon's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Torrey Pines Falcons. While getting shut out isn't ideal, La Costa Canyon has not been shut out since  back in March.
 For Torrey Pines' part,  the result came thanks to  GEORGIA BILSKI's shutout, as she gave up just three  hits and racked up nine Ks. BILSKI has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
