Preview: Hooker vs. Mooreland
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Hooker. On Friday they will take on Mooreland at 7:00 PM. Hooker are coming into the matchup hot, having won eight in a row.
Last Thursday, Hooker put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 39-11 margin over Oklahoma Bible. Senior Tanner Mcbee, who rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Hooker's success. Mcbee has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Mooreland, and their game last Thursday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They lost to Thomas-Fay-Custer by a decisive 8-28 margin.
Hooker's win lifted them to 8-0 while Mooreland's loss dropped them down to 1-7. The Hooker defense got after the quarterback against Oklahoma Bible to the tune of seven sacks, so Mooreland's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
