Softball Recap: Strasburg Indians vs. University Bulldogs
After flying high against Platte Valley last Tuesday, Strasburg came back down to earth. The Strasburg Indians came up short against the University Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 15-3. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Averie Eymann made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-1 with a home run and three RBI.
Strasburg's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5. As for University, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.
Strasburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they will venture away from home to challenge Fort Lupton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Lupton will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
