After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln College Prep, Mid-Buchanan was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lafayette Fighting Irish an 8-0 shutout. Considering Mid-Buchanan have won six games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Mid-Buchanan back to even at 9-9. As for Lafayette, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Buchanan will square off against Bishop LeBlond at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop LeBlond will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mid-Buchanan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lafayette, they will challenge Savannah at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will need to watch out since Savannah have now posted at least four goals in their last five matchups.
