Preview: Haddon Heights Garnets vs. Gloucester City Lions
The Haddon Heights Garnets will head out on the road to face off against the Gloucester City Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Haddon Heights, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Seneca. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Haddon Heights has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Gloucester City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paulsboro.
Gloucester City's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ryan James, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Wall, who scored four points.
Haddon Heights' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Gloucester City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Haddon Heights didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gloucester City when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Gloucester City's Liam Gorman, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
