While Ann Sobrato's win against Lincoln wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Lions on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Liam Bettencourt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Ann Sobrato let DJ Vallejo and Vince Pomo run wild. Vallejo went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Pomo went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was Pomo's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Braylen Belardes, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Ann Sobrato was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Ann Sobrato's record now sits at 15-5. As for Lincoln, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5.

Ann Sobrato will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
