Baseball Recap: South Sumter Triumphs

South Sumter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Newberry Panthers on Tuesday.

Gabe Sabilona was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Lake, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, South Sumter will face off against Dunnellon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newberry, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Crystal River at 7:00 p.m.
