Football Recap: Mia Donati Leads California's Defense on Thursday

California is still undefeated this season after their contest against Oakland Tech on Thursday, but Oakland Tech came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 14-12. That's more bragging rights for the Grizzlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

California didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Mia Donati led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

California's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Oakland Tech, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Coming up, California will venture away from home to challenge Dougherty Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakland Tech, they will welcome Elite at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed three points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
