Volleyball Recap: Sierra Linda Comes Up Short

The Sierra Linda Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos on Monday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on October 3rd.

Debanhi Aguiar paced Sierra Linda's offense, picking up 20 kills. Aguiar got some help from Sinais Bernal Castaneda and her 18 assists. Bernal Castaneda also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Valerie Villa, racking up five apiece.

Sierra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for La Joya Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.
