Volleyball Recap: Bishop Stang Takes a Loss

Bishop Stang lost against New Bedford back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans came up short against the Whalers, falling 3-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-18.

Maggie Martin paced Bishop Stang's offense, picking up six kills. Martin got some help from Madison Alves and her 20 assists. Sienna Mendes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bishop Stang's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for New Bedford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Bishop Stang wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against St. Mary's on the 14th. As for New Bedford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bridgewater-Raynham on the 15th.
