Volleyball Recap: Shelby County Has No Trouble Against Tarrant

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Shelby County blew past Tarrant 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shelby County.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Shelby County took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-12.

Halle Gilbert paced Shelby County's offense, picking up five kills. Gilbert got some help from Wendy McGehee and her 20 assists. McGehee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Shelby County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tarrant, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Shelby County will be playing in front of their home fans against Vincent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tarrant, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
