            Softball Recap: Corinth Warriors vs. Pontotoc Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            On Tuesday, Corinth faced Pontotoc in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Corinth were the clear victor by  a  7-1 margin over Pontotoc. Considering Corinth has won three matchups by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Pontotoc's batters probably weren't too happy with  McKinley Moore, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up ten Ks (she gave up  a single walk). Furthermore,  Moore didn't allow a single  hit, the first time  she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

 At the plate,  Addyson Moore was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Maggie Parchman also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
Corinth has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. The  loss snapped Pontotoc's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 7-3 record.
Corinth will have a chance to go back-to-back against Pontotoc: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
