Softball Recap: East's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

If East was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Unionville on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring-Ford Rams on Friday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Riley Douglass was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelyn Rodriguez, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

With the loss, East broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-3. As for Spring-Ford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

As of now, neither East nor Spring-Ford have any future games scheduled.
