The International Falls Broncos will venture away from home to take on the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. International Falls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

International Falls took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Broncos narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted since May 6, 2024.

Keaton Maish spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, International Falls saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Joslyn, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI. What's more, Joslyn posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Kenyon-Wanamingo came up short against Lake City on Friday and fell 9-4.

Kenyon-Wanamingo's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-5. As for International Falls, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

International Falls suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Kenyon-Wanamingo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Broncos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
