Baseball Recap: Miyamura Has No Trouble Against Rehoboth Christian

Miyamura's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Rehoboth Christian Lynx with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering the Patriots have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sean Torres was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Livingston, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Miyamura has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Rehoboth Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miyamura will head out to square off against Gallup at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miyamura is facing Gallup at the right time seeing as Gallup is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rehoboth Christian, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Navajo Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
