Football Recap: Bishop Diego Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Diego had won three straight road games and Gabe Villa did his part to make it four on Friday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 43-18 margin over the Bishop Alemany Warriors for which the team can thank Villa, who rushed for 183 yards and two scores, and also caught one touchdown. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.4 rushing yards per game.

Another player making a difference was Ian Bartley, who gained 102 total yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Bishop Diego's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Samuel Boeddeker with two sacks.

Bishop Diego's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Bishop Alemany, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Bishop Diego and Bishop Alemany will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals will take on rival Camarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bishop Alemany is set to face off against their familiar foe Paraclete at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
