Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Charlotte). They enjoyed a cozy 75-57 victory over the Harding University Rams on Wednesday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 69-64 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
West Charlotte got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amen(AC) Pressley out in front who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Coleman, who posted ten points and three steals.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dayton Ross, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Nate Decker was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.
West Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game.
