Basketball Recap: Weiss Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After losing to East View the last time they met, Weiss decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Weiss Wolves secured a 58-52 W over the East View Patriots on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Patriots are ranked 114th).

Weiss pushed their record up to 15-18 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for East View, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-8.

Looking ahead, Weiss is taking a road trip to square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East View, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. East View is facing Georgetown at the right time seeing as Georgetown is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
