Softball Game Preview: Haskell Indians vs. Coleman Bluecats

For the second straight game, Haskell will face off against Coleman. The Indians will challenge the Bluecats on Saturday. Haskell will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Haskell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Coleman get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Paige Scheets was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Haskell got a massive performance out of Rebekah Cunningham, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Cunningham has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Paisley Chavez-Guevara, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs.

Haskell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coleman only posted a batting average of .118.

Coleman's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Haskell, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
