If St. Vincent de Paul was riding high fresh off their 71-28 takedown of Averroes last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs and the Piner Prospectors didn't end well, with the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs falling 59-40. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Prospectors earlier this season, when they won 53-45.

Despite the loss, St. Vincent de Paul still got an impressive performance from Jack Ellis, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Ellis is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played.

Apollo Pereira continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Piner, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Pereira a new career-high. Brendan Walker was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

St. Vincent de Paul's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Piner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-9.
