Volleyball Recap: Steele Comes Up Short

Steele lost against Wadsworth back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Comets fell 2-0 to the Grizzlies. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steele may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Kendal Dobbins paced Steele's offense, picking up ten kills. Dobbins got some help from Callie Beckler and her 13 assists.

Steele's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wadsworth, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Steele didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Avon on the 4th. As for Wadsworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on the 2nd.
