Baseball Recap: Andrew Jackson Comes Up Short

Andrew Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Duval Charter Panthers, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Andrew Jackson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lamar Stanfield, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Stanfield has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. CJ Logan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Andrew Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Duval Charter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson will face off against Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duval Charter, they will head out to take on Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
