Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Classical Christian Academy played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-17 loss at the hands of the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Leading Westwood Baptist Academy to victory were Cody VanDover and Gage Barker. VanDover made all 6 shots he took for 17 points, while Barker went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Anden Moore, who posted six points and five assists.

Providence Classical Christian Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Providence Classical Christian Academy will be playing at home against Heartland Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-61 win against Heritage Classical Christian Academy on the 21st.
