Volleyball Recap: Coronado Has No Trouble Against Harrison

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canon City, Coronado was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Harrison Panthers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 9th.

While Coronado won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10, 25-20.

Jessie Weeks paced Coronado's offense, picking up six kills. Weeks got some help from Alexi Arnell and her seven assists. Arnell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Denver South on the 31st. Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
