Maty Mauk of Kenton (Ohio) may have put together the record-breaking performance of the weekend, but Forest Williams of Amory (Miss.) wasn't too far behind.

Mauk became the nation's all-time leading passer with his 504-yard effort in a 74-22 win over Wellington, giving him 17,869 career yards. He also had nine touchdowns in the victory and is the nation's all-time touchdown passer with 208 scores.

However, Williams is making his mark in Mississippi. With a 646-yard performance in a 63-30 win over Gentry, Williams set the single-game passing yardage mark for the state and his total ranks fifth all-time in the nation according to the National Federation of High Schools Record Book.

Williams' 4,231 yards passing this season are the highest single-season performance listed in the national record book for a player from Mississippi, however Dylan Favre's season total of 5,511 for St. Stanislaus in 2009 is not listed.

Here's a look at the top performances in the nation as reported by coaches to MaxPreps.
