Volleyball Recap: Walton's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Walton had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cherokee Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Walton was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 19-25, 25-11.

Simone Searles paced Walton's offense, picking up 18 kills. Searles got some help from Janie Myers and her 35 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Walton's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Cherokee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Walton will be taking part in a tournament against McEachern at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cherokee, they will venture away from home to challenge River Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
