Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove's Undefeated Season over After Six Games + How To Watch

If Oak Grove was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of R.J. Reynolds on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies fell 3-1 to the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans on Monday. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Kate Bertschi paced Oak Grove's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bertschi got some help from Hollis Fitzgerald and her 29 assists. Ava Willard and Bella Young kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oak Grove fell to 5-1. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Oak Grove is taking a road trip to face off against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Forsyth Country Day at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Trojans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
