Xaverian dropped down to 4-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 28-21 to the Xavier Knights. If the Clippers were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Knights when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Xavier, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games.

Xavier's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peter Heaney, who rushed for 154 yards and one TD. Riley McLaughlin was in the mix too, providing the Knights with two scores.

Looking ahead, Xaverian will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers will be up against the Gaels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Xavier, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christ the King at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
