Volleyball Recap: University Academy Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

University Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gryphons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-3, 25-6, 25-3.

Bokenkroger Molly was a one-woman wrecking crew For St. Michael the Archangel. as she had 24 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Molly has posted over her last ten contests. Another player making a difference was Lauren Ahern, who had five aces.

University Academy Charter now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

University Academy Charter will head out on the road to take on Cristo Rey Kansas City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will be taking part in a tournament against Blue Springs at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
