Preview: Russellville Panthers vs. Todd County Central Rebels
Russellville is 2-8 against Todd County Central since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Russellville Panthers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Todd County Central Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Russellville suffered their closest loss yet this season two weeks ago. They fell just short of Logan County by a score of 72-70.
Meanwhile, Todd County Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 80-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Logan County.
The losing side was boosted by Jamison Glass, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Moore, who scored 18 points along with five assists.
Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Todd County Central, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Russellville might still be hurting after the 63-41 defeat they got from Todd County Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Russellville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
