Basketball Recap: Duke Comes Up Short

Duke won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Laverne Tigers and fell 68-9. While losing is never fun, Duke can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while Laverne is ranked 167th).

Duke's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Laverne, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5.

Duke has already played their next contest (against Hollis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Laverne has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Buffalo.
