Stamford had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They never let the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.
Jack Healy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Travis Fuchs was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Charlie Guinta was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
Stamford pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bridgeport Central, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
