Soccer Game Preview: Old Town vs. Hermon

The Old Town Coyotes will challenge the Hermon Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Old Town's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Old Town's offense. They came up short against John Bapst Memorial on Saturday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Old Town can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while John Bapst Memorial are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Hermon kept a clean sheet against Mount Desert Island on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Trojans. Considering Hermon's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Old Town's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hermon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.
