Basketball Recap: Lukas Stead's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taylor Allderdice over South Fayette

On Saturday, the Taylor Allderdice Dragons came up short against the South Fayette Lions and fell 59-50. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Lions are ranked 36th).

Taylor Allderdice lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lukas Stead, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Stead is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Asher Schwartz was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Taylor Allderdice and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for South Fayette, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Taylor Allderdice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-47 win against Pine-Richland on the 18th. As for South Fayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-34 victory against Bethel Park on the 17th.
