Recap: Del Norte Knights vs. Pecos Panthers

The Del Norte Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 49-31 to Pecos. Del Norte was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pecos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Del Norte got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Francois Satchivi and Pedro Padron, who each put up six points. Satchivi also led the team in assists with three. He held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Del Norte bumped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Pecos, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Norte won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against La Cueva at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. La Cueva knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Del Norte likes a good challenge. As for Pecos, they will head out on the road to square off against Penasco at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
