Football Recap: Mt. Zion Comes Up Short on the Road Against Jonesboro

Mt. Zion had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Jonesboro Cardinals, falling 37-11. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Mt. Zion and Jonesboro could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 381st) will meet Lowndes (ranked 15th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jonesboro will take on Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (114 vs. 5).
