Volleyball Recap: Yreka Takes a Loss

Yreka suffered their biggest defeat since September 4th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Orland Trojans, falling 3-0. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Yreka ultimately came up short, they really made Orland work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-7, 26-24.

This is the second loss in a row for Yreka and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Orland, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Yreka will challenge Mazama at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orland, they will face off against Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
