Nevada Union's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the River Valley Falcons. This was payback for the Miners, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Nevada Union walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-12, 25-23.

Ashley Thompson paced Nevada Union's offense, picking up 14 kills. Thompson got some help from Ellyse Havlorson and her 32 assists.

River Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Liliana Ruiz, who had 13 digs.

Nevada Union's record now sits at 6-7. As for River Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7.
