Baseball Game Preview: Loudoun Valley Vikings vs. Tuscarora Huskies

For the second straight game, Loudoun Valley will face off against Tuscarora. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loudoun Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Tuscarora's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Loudoun Valley hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Vikings never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

For Tuscarora's part, they got a good showing from Ethan Johnson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Johnson has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ian Sullivan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

Tuscarora's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11. As for Loudoun Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
