Basketball Game Preview: Ville Platte Bulldogs vs. Jena Giants

The Ville Platte Bulldogs will challenge the Jena Giants on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Ville Platte was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to Church Point.

Meanwhile, Jena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 75-50 to Alexandria. While losing is never fun, the Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Trojans are ranked 17th).

Ville Platte's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10. As for Jena, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
