Basketball Recap: Notre Dame's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was fun while it lasted, but Notre Dame's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Friday. They lost 56-32 to the Ironton Fighting Tigers. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Lasswell, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jaysa Bryant, who had 12 points and three blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Notre Dame fell to 5-1. As for Ironton, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Notre Dame will head out to square off against South Gallia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ironton, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Portsmouth West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
