Baseball Recap: Roger Bacon Wins Going Away Against Norwood

Roger Bacon came out on top against Norwood on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Indians. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Robby Brenner tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Roger Bacon got a massive performance out of Ben Powers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Powers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Owen Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Roger Bacon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
