Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Oak Hills' Fourth in Last Five Outings

If Fairfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Oak Hills, they should've done a better job of containing Ava Kammerer. The Oak Hills Highlanders walked away with a 45-34 win over the Fairfield Indians on Wednesday thanks in part to Kammerer, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Nyla Richardson was another key player, putting up eight points. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Oak Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Fairfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Oak Hills will be playing at home against Princeton at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairfield, they will head out to face off against Lakota East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
