It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Nixa ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They never let the Marquette Mustangs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Nixa sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Nixa's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Marquette, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Nixa has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Eureka on the 27th. As for Marquette, they will head out to face off against Webster Groves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
