Dawson has gone a perfect 5-0 against South Houston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Dawson has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Dawson and Pearland had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles came up short against the Oilers on Tuesday, falling 12-6. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Oilers since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, South Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-0 to Manvel.

Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for South Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Dawson took their win against South Houston in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
