Peachtree Ridge hadn't done well against Chattahoochee recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
If you add up the scores from across all three sets (60-58) Peachtree Ridge actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-19, 18-16.
Peachtree Ridge can attribute much of their success to Chloe Neal, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Neal has posted since back in October of 2024.
Neal wasn't the only good server: Peachtree Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.
