Lakin waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Syracuse Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncs have posted since September 27th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lakin got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-12.

Lakin's win bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Syracuse, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-10.

Coincidentally, Lakin and Syracuse will both be playing Wichita County the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Broncs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
