Hancock entered their tilt with Brooks on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against Brooks by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for Hancock, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hancock not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Brooks to exactly 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Marcos Cervantes paced Hancock's offense, picking up five kills. Cervantes got some help from Gabriel Gomez and his seven assists.

Hancock pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Brooks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
