Basketball Game Preview: Silver Lake Mustangs vs. McCool Junction Mustangs

Silver Lake will take on McCool Junction at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Friday. Silver Lake blew past Meridian 52-30. Silver Lake pushed the score to 43-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Meridian cut but never quite recovered from.

Sophie Schmidt produced another solid effort putting up 19 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Libby Soucek, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Dorchester typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday McCool Junction proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 52-46 W over the Longhorns.

Silver Lake pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for McCool Junction, their record now sits at 16-5.
