League recap: Anaheim win leads to rise in state rank

Anaheim moved up to 830 from 905 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Orange. A 24-21 win over Loara helped the Colonists improve their standing.

Anaheim and the Saxons played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Anaheim eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory. Hayden Guidry threw for 182 yards and one touchdown and ran for seven yards in the win.

Lanny Booher's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Rico Kindle chipped in 110 yards. Jonathon Mayo helped Anaheim's passing attack out by catching two balls for 27 yards.

Golliath Gaddy was the best wideout in the league this week as the Colonists beat Loara. Gaddy tallied five receptions for 107 yards.

Anaheim's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Colonists feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Guidry has thrown for 309 yards and one touchdown this season, while Mayo has nine catches for 146 yards. Josh Tafoya leads the league in rushing with 380 yards.
